Business Unit: Europcar
Location: East London Depot
Position overall objective:
To inspect and examine damaged vehicles as well as accurately and timeously determine required repairs and the related costs whilst adhering to administrative requirements and agreed standard operating procedures.
Minimum Experience
•2 years' experience in identification of structural, body, mechanical, electrical or interior vehicle damage and quoting/estimating for repairs within a similar environment.
Minimum Qualification
•NQF Level 4 (Matric or equivalent)
Minimum Requirements
•Code 08 unendorsed driver’s license and own transport
•Computer literate: an intermediate level of MS Excel – essential.
•2 years Audatex system experience - an advantage.
Important to note: successful candidate will need to be willing to work weekends and/or overtime from time to time for month end if required to do so.
Job Outputs:
•Examine damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical or interior damage.
•Using standard repair and parts manual to estimate the parts require to repair the damage to the vehicle.
•Using standard parts costing manuals to provide written estimate of total cost of vehicle repair.
•Evaluate the financial practicality of the vehicle repair comparing it to the payment of the financial value of the vehicle before the accident.
•Escalate unresolved issues to management team.
•Identify and develop solutions to improve operational service and quality delivery.
•Adhere to standard operating procedures within the area of accountability.
