Job Description: Auto Pedigree Service Centre is looking for Debtors clerk based at Spartan Kempton Park. This position is an ideal opportunity for someone who is trustworthy and pays attention to detail. The position reports to the Financial manager. 

Position overview: The purpose of the position is minimize risk to the business by monitoring active customer accounts and daily cash sale accounts by managing the credit terms and limits of these accounts through collecting payments timeously.  This is done by adhering to customer requirements for payments and professionally communicating with customers, thereby delivering excellent customer service and reducing/preventing bad debt losses

Minimum Experience:

  • 2 years of credit control experience

Minimum Qualification

  • Grade 12
  • Diploma/degree in accounting/finance (Preferred)

Minimum Requirements

  • Computer literacy with high level of accuracy, especially in MS Office. MS Excel skills on an intermediate level is mandatory.
  • Multilingualism would be an advantage.
  • Have working experience with Evolve (Desired)

Job Outputs:

  • Telephonic and electronic collections of all amounts due.
  • Ensure accurate recording of the transaction in the accounting information system.
  • Processing and allocation of all payments received as per the daily bank statement and deposit slips strictly in accordance with the remittance advice from the customer.
  • Preparation of journals with supporting documentation. Filing, record keeping and various other admin duties.
  • Investigating and resolving all customer/ branch queries on accounts, following up and providing feedback to the customer/ branch once queries have been resolved.
  • Build and maintain good customer relationships, and proactive prevention of issues developing.
  • Ensure that 100% of the daily and monthly targeted collections is achieved.
  • Escalation of problem accounts to management within prescribed time frames
