Job Description: Motus Autoworx, a dynamic leader in the vehicle repair industry is looking, is inviting applications from honest, trustworthy and highly responsible candidates with relevant panel beating experience to apply for the position of Panel beater at our East London branch.

Position Overview: The purpose of this position is to take full responsibility for repairing and restoring accident-damaged vehicles to the highest quality standards, ensuring that all work meets safety, technical, and aesthetic requirements. The role contributes directly to the branch’s operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and achievement of financial and service targets.


Minimum Experience: 
  • 2 years or more relevant experience in vehicle panel beating and accident repair.


Minimum Qualification:
  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Technical Qualification: B A Journeyman / Journeyman.

Minimum Requirements: 
  • Valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s license (minimum 2 years).
  • Computer literate (basic level sufficient).
  • Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.

Job Output: 
  • Inspect booked-in vehicles against quotations and confirm scope of work.
  • Strip vehicles and assess damage accurately.
  • Use hand tools and equipment to shape and form metal panels.
  • Sand and prepare surfaces for painting.
  • Remove dents and straighten vehicle panels to original specifications.
  • Perform welding, soldering, and other repair tasks as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.
  • Ensure all hand tools and equipment are correctly booked into the storeroom at the end of each day.
  • Support the branch in achieving service targets, turnaround times, and quality standards.
  • Comply with all workshop health, safety, and environmental regulations.
